Gregory is a Partner at Hanan Associates. Prior to joining Hanan Associates, Gregory worked with Ernst & Young where he has cumulatively gained experience in accounting, audit, tax, and consultancy services that spans over 8 years. While working at Ernst & Young, he rose through the ranks from an Assistant Auditor to a Manager in the Assurance department serving in Uganda, Rwanda, and South Sudan offices.
Gregory's role included the coordination and management of the firm's consulting services to clients as well as other managerial and administrative functions. This entailed monitoring and managing assignments and projects to ensure timely and effective delivery by establishing appropriate strategies which minimized risk and ensured that client and stakeholder expectations were met.
Key job responsibilities included direction and supervision of assurance engagements in accordance with the firm's Global Audit Methodology and International Standards on Auditing (ISA), identification and resolution of audit, tax and accounting issues, and evaluating the effectiveness of internal control policies concerning the preparation of financial statements.
He was also part of the firm's learning and development team that was tasked with managing the audit training and learning needs of the assurance department, and ensuring optimum resource deployment including staff mix, staff allocation and time budget preparation.
