Stephen is currently a Partner in Hanan Associates. Prior to joining Hanan Associates, Stephen has been working with Ernst & Young where he has gained experience in accounting, audit, tax, and consultancy services that spans over 15 years. While working at Ernst & Young, he rose through the ranks from an Auditor to a Senior Manager in the Assurance department.
As Senior Manager, he was overseeing a portfolio of clients in various sectors covering banking, telecommunication, manufacturing, not for profit, oil and gas, consumer products, government and stated owned entities, insurance, and pension among others.
Stephen was also responsible for the direction and supervision of audit assignments in line with the firm's Global Audit Methodology (GAM). He was also part of the firm's Professional Practice Group (PPG) that was responsible for driving quality and efficiency in the assurance service line and also providing guidance in dealing with technical matters arising from the assurance services.
He also participated in the internal training programs of the firm as a facilitator. He has also facilitated at the Institute of Certified Public Accountants (ICPAU) IFRS workshops and participated as an evaluator in the Fire Awards organized by ICPAU.
